Miansai Shop 2.0
StarNYC has launched the new Miansi Shop E-commerce Website, a redesign of the very successful Miansai online jewelry store.
The new site is designed with “the look” of the new Miansai Line in mind, to make it easier to shop and browse for multiple items to create bracelet stacks of different colors. Try out the “Design Your Own Hook” application in the store which allows you to visually see different color, material and metal combinations.

StarNYC Launches new L’Oasis Floral Design Website
StarNYC has launched a new Website for L’Oasis Floral Design, a New York City based Floral Design firm, who does amazing arrangements and event design. The Website and blog are managed through WordPress, used to manage the content and provide Search Engine Optimization (SEO) so that L’Oasis may be found in search engines.
L’Oasis has a very extensive portfolio that is too time consuming and difficult to manage in WordPress, so StarNYC integrated the L’Oasis portfolio managed by the StarNYC/EventMail content management system, for easy updating. Batch uploading and drag-and-drop photo album arranging makes it easy to work with large numbers of photos. The StarNYC/EventMail gallery interface is much easier for people to use and pops-up a large photo, dimming the words below, to present a “lightbox” portfolio view of the floral arrangements and designs, extending the ability of the WordPress Website to act like a regular, interactive Web 2.0 Website.
Check out the L’Oasis portfolio at L’Oasis Floral Design, NYC.

IKA Collective :: WordPress Video Plugin Development
StarNYC developed a cross-platform video management and delivery system for IKA Collective so that their WordPress based Website can deliver video to smartphones, the iPad and desktop computers. The player extends wordpress to add video playlists that pop-up with a smooth effect to overlay video on top of the Web page. While WordPress is the leading CMS/blogging platform in the world, surprisingly there is some essential functionality missing when it comes to multimedia management and delivery. Please take a look at how StarNYC extended WordPress to make the excellent video Website design by IKA Collective come alive.

StarNYC has developed a couple JQUERY/AJAX plugins for WordPress to extend its multimedia capabilities and we are an expert developer of custom and commercial WordPress themes, with over 30 active commercial blogs. With the advent of WordPress 3.1 and more extensive themes that extend the Content Management capabilities of WordPress, it is now possible to remove all the geekiness out of the WordPress blog and build Websites entirely in WordPress that look like a Website with a Blog, rather than a Blog trying to masquerade as a Website, for a best of both worlds functionality. We also do mass email integration with EventMail, contact/subscription management and secure, easy edit Web contact forms for WordPress, as well as security hardened WordPress hosting.
Barber’s Blueprint Barbershop on Mulberry – new WebSite

StarNYC announces the launch of Barber’s Blueprint new Website.
Arthur and George are experienced Men’s Barbers who opened their Barber Shop on Mulberry Street in 2009. Over the years I’ve hit every trendy New York men’s barber, both upscale and “real man’s barbers”. I decided to give them a try one day when I didn’t have the time to make it to the regular spot – I should have been going here the whole time – they do a much better job at a fraction of the price with no fake hipster annoyance.
After many haircuts we got to talking and the result is http://www.barbersblueprint.com – THE PICTURES tell you everything you need to know. For this site we used WordPress as the back end to make the site easy to update and to help with Search Engine Optimization in the competitive keyword race for men’s hot towel shaves and haircuts.
