Safe Space Spring Benefit 2006
On May 15th @ 6:00pm Safe Space will celebrate
and entertain at BB King Blues Club
ABOUT SAFE SPACE NYC:
Safe Space`s history spans 86 years of innovative services for children and families. Safe Space works with 20,000 of New York City’s most at-risk youth and families to:
- prevent foster care placement
- build strong families
- promote self-sufficiency Safe Space Programs

- Community Services
- Mental Health Services

- Creative and Performing Arts

Opportunity:
The Safe Space Spring Benefit is an opportunity for those who support the organization to come together for one night to celebrate our kids. Talented youth from the Safe Space Arts Academy sing, dance and recite original poetry.
About the Arts Academy:
The Safe Space Arts Academy provides at-risk youth with creative and therapeutic alternatives to the more destructive forms of expression prevalent in urban street culture. Our goal is to provide the youth we serve with a safe environment through which to identify and develop self-esteem, bolster confidence and pride, and improve academic and social behaviors.
All contributions toward the Safe Space Spring Benefit support general operating expenses, allowing the organization to provide constant support (program staff, administration and facilities) for the much-needed programs we provide. Approximately 88 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to programming.
